brief #4a: Writing Craft

PARASITE

potential tagline options:

  • Witness a classical tale of class and social ability.

  • Unearth the mysteries of your and my world

  • Blue or white aren’t just colours. Unearth the wrath of blue collars and white collars (people).

  • Not your cliché struggle story.

Well, that quite caught your attention, didn’t it?

If you’re a drama-seeker or searching for something meaningful when it comes to genre, and love accelerating your heart beat, this movie is for you. Yes, we have all been there. Especially in this quarantine, if you are bored of the four corners of your home sweet home, and want some thrill, yes, this is a must-watch. Or long story short, if suspense, drama and thriller is your cup of tea, you’re in for this treat! *Guilty as charged, are we?* Oh, us too!

Well, let’s not keep some of us yawning at the introductions. Interesting as it sounds, the title ‘Parasite’ will give a you the real, dark and bleak side of this world you live in, from the TV Tube or Mac you’ll probably be watching from to the ads that suddenly pop up out of nowhere in the middle of a game or whilst reading some article on TOI or Buzzfeed, within the four corners of your comfortable home. Especially in these times, when media plays a huge role in delivering news and information to us, whether how many people are recovering or how many are dying, celebrity gossip, high-profile conspiracies (lets digest that with a gulp). You name it.

Let us unearth this mystery of the world we live in. Set in the concrete jungle of South Korea, witness the story of class struggle and social mobility in this story. In a world of today where there still (in asterisk) a social hierarchy (gulp); not one soul can eliminate the wrath of blue collars or white collars. Well, we are all gullible to anything, when it’s branded. How did the Kim family make it to the Park House? What other hidden skeletons would the heart of the Parks be hiding (pun intended too)? Come, catch the parasite, live in action, now streaming on Netflix/Amazon Prime/(insert media channel name).
